Daenerys

• goes on and on about how she’s going to make the world better, but all she ever does is wage war
• routinely burns people alive because they don’t worship the ground she walks on
• conquers city after city to “save” them and then proceeds to make it arguably worse than it was before leaving to murder her way to yet another throne
• has literal children tortured on the off chance that they know who exactly hates her guts in the books
• believes she’s entitled to the Iron Throne even if she’s never even set foot in Westeros, all because her ancestors burnt their way to it (at least she’s true to her lineage lol)
• hasn’t actually had to fight for anything since s2? everything’s just handed to her and that’s sooo frustrating (especially when the starks other characters have to fight for every scrap of power/safety they get when they get it at all)
• is one of the blandest, most boring characters I’ve ever seen (at least on the show)
• would make an alright villain but instead we’re supposed to swoon every time she sneezes
• was very obviously written by men who care more about how pretty and put together she looks than having her evolve and/or make sense at all

But sure, people only hate Dandified Tartuffe because they like Sansa and it’s a ship thing… somehow.

lmao AND YET I somehow managed to hate daenerys long before that#probably started in s3 when she spectacularly failed to do anything good after apparently having such good intentions tbh#I don’t mind characters failing but it never went anywhere… she just left without fixing anything#ALSO people like to say it’s just (internalised) misogyny which is… ridiculous#I just hate entitled characters who aren’t truly good but for some reason everyone adores them that’s all#and she’s far from the only ‘good’ character I hate on got lmao
