Korra’s just, such a loud spirit. Everything about her is loud. Her voice, her MUSCLES, the way she does everything, the way she carries herself, even the determination she has to live through each day, being the Avatar.

But she’s also, so, so fun. The girl has so much energy within her, it’s impossible. She takes that energy, and lights up Asami’s life. Makes Asami’s life more fun, makes her more silly, dorky, goofy. Korra teaches Asami that it’s okay to be silly, and that it’s okay to make mistakes. She tells her that flaws should be embraced, and that they are meant to be embraced.

Meanwhile, Asami is the gentle hand that Korra has never really known. All her life, people have told her what she has needed to be, pushed her to BECOME something. But Asami is a reminder that, Korra doesn’t need to BE anything. She just needs to be. Herself. Whatever that is, just…be. She is there, at Korra’s side, never pushing, never demanding- only there for Korra to become her best, and offer support for that. She’s the hand that calms Korra down, offers her a beat from the hard life she lives. Offers her something to make it all worth it. The quiet wisdom, never-ending support and love. She tells her to calm down, take things back a step. Think.

They’re there, for each other, when they need each other. And even when, they don’t even REALIZE they need each other.
