I love when Skyewards (or S/Q shippers, because I’ve seen them do this too) talk about season 1 Daisy/Skye was “naive, innocent, trusting” and i’m like, DID YOU EVEN WATCH SEASON 1?

Daisy conned her way into SHIELD.

She tricked Coulson into offering her a job.

She infiltrated SHIELD because she had a mission (a rightful one) and knew the system would never give her what was rightfully hers, so she decided to con the system to her advantage.

She was a known hacker who was both an enemy to SHIELD and a target Hydra wanted to eliminate because she was about to expose the whole Centipede thing when we met her.

“Naive, innocent” Daisy/Skye who was clearly an abuse survivor.

“Naive, innocent” Skye who didn’t want to want things, didn’t want to feel like she belonged because she knew it would be taken away from her, like anything good in her life.

Who had been homeless for years and would joke about people breaking into her van like it wasn’t a big deal.

Who knew more the evils of American interventionist policies and the necessity for a popular uprising versus the team’s complete political naivety (including Coulson’s) when it came to the association between SHIELD and the corrupt Peruvian government.

Who had an arrest warrant for her out there somewhere.

Whom we saw steal a wallet in the pilot and becomes the go-to pickpocket expert in the team.

Who knew how to talk her way out of trouble, and who didn’t blink when she had to STEAL two cars from some rich dude.

“Trusting” Daisy/Skye who was the one who taught Phil Coulson to distrust the organization he had been working for for decades, “trusting” Daisy/Skye who taught Simmons to use underhanded methods to protect the people she cared about, who taught Phil Coulson to keep secrets.

“Naive, innocent, trusting” Daisy/Skye NEVER EXISTED.

It’s a misogynistic fantasy the gross Skyeward shippers made up (and then the S/Q shippers picked up, because the overlap is huge) so they could use a rich, complex, mature character like season 1 Skye and turn her into a self-insert to fantastize about hooking up with a creepy NeoNazi villain.

She never existed.

The team was the innocent, naive one. Daisy/Skye was the one who taught the team not to trust the system and who proved compartimentalization was bullshit and only made it easier for Hydra to overtake SHIELD.

“Naive, innocent, trusting” Daisy/Skye? Fuck off, that girl never existed but in gross shipper fantasies.

Fearless, resourceful, skilled, paranoid, righteous, brave season 1 Skye, that’s what anyone watching the show, actually watching the show remembers. And Daisy is still that person at heart, so fuck off with your “remember season 1 Skye?” bullshit, because we see your intentions, and you don’t give a shit about Daisy.
