Stronger together, yes A+ nice point.
And you’re right that Lena having Kara as her only friend makes her dependent on Kara in some ways, at this stage, but this is something I’d like the show and fics to address as an issue to be overcome, not a positive part of their relationship.
It’s important for Lena to develop a circle of friends and a support system beyond a single person. And I’d prefer it to be consisting of more than Kara’s personal circle. Something of her own to have.
So this is a weakness, at this moment (I mean she did just move and has a lot going on, give her some time) but I also think that Lena has a certain kind of strength outside of any connection to others.
She’s remained a good person despite an incredible loneliness that was born in her when she was four and followed her her entire life. She could have become so bitter and hateful of the world and it’s people, but she didn’t.
She feels the pull to do so occasionally, and there is some darkness in Lena.
But as separate from human experience as Lena feels, she tries not to take it out on the world and to instead make it so others are happy and safe. She fumbles, and Kara can help her there, but it’s a motivation of her own that she is following.
And now, as she experiences connection and opens herself up, hopefully to even more people than just Kara, she’s building upon that foundation of resilience into something that’s happier and healthier.
