Ignoring the crowds of revellers and the relentlessly cheerful music, Regina stalked away from her mother, fingers flexing as she tried to keep from strangling her. Cora was the only person she knew who could smile all the way through a fifteen minute lecture about all the ways her daughter was failing at life, love and her career, and still act like she was the one wronged when Regina tried to defend herself.
